Visit From The Local Preschool

Here at The Amwell Care Home we are really keen to promote intergenerational care and were delighted to be able to start the day off with a visit from the local Oasis Preschool and Retreat.

The youngsters were welcomed visitors to the home where they entertained the residents with some wonderful singing and playing fun games. The joy and laughter that could be heard around the home was just magical to hear and definitely set everyone up for a wonderful Wednesday.

Catherine Tanner the Home Manager commented ‘It has been so great to welcome the little ones to The Amwell today and to get caught up in their excitement. I strongly believe that there are so many benefits to supporting intergenerational care into care homes and you just have to see from today how much it was enjoyed by the children and residents alike. The Pre-school visit not only provides joy to everyone but for our residents with dementia they especially thrive in this environment.'
