At The Amwell Care Home in Leicestershire, we love celebrating all occasions, big or small and our activities team always goes to great lengths to create a programme
Getting older can come with complications, some of these being hearing loss, reduced mobility, a weakened immune system and an increased chance of developing disorders. Because of this,
Residents at The Amwell have had a wonderfully creative time recently prepping for Halloween.
At The Amwell Care Home, it was important to us that we honoured this memorial day in some way. Yesterday, our residents went out into the local community to watch the Remembrance Day Parade which was held throughout Melton's town centre.
Residents were joined by members of staff and family members to pay their respects and honour those who fought and died in the First World War. The annual service took place at St Mary's Church, with the parade happening either side of the service.
We highly value our place in the local community of Melton Mowbray and we are glad that those from our home were able to attend today to show their support to those in our Armed Forces.
