Gifts from Melton Foods

A Delicious Gift from Melton Foods

At The Amwell Care Home, we received a kind donation from Melton Foods of delicious drinks and chocolates. The kind gesture was highly appreciated by all of the residents as they spent the evening enjoying all of the treats that were gifted.

Melton Foods supplies premium products to some of the major UK retailers and Food to Go outlets in both retailers and own brands as well as the UK’s largest sandwich brand, Ginsters. Melton Foods focus is producing high-quality sandwiches for their customers as well as a range of hot eating products.

Melton Foods is continually looking to build its connections with the local community in Melton Mowbray, with initiatives such as school and college visits and participating in interview technique workshops to help school leaves.

The Amwell Care home have created a great relationship with Melton Foods as we seek to do so with the local community. We have seen the first-hand benefits of our residents creating valuable community links and the effects it has on their lives.

The many facilities we have to offer such as our in house salon, cinema, and gym can have an effect on our residents reducing the need to reach out to the wider community. Therefore creating better links with local businesses in Melton can provide many benefits.

These could include providing our residents with greater visibility of the local community and area, providing our residents with a wide variety of choices of activities, and the opportunity to introduce new faces to our residents which can be highly beneficial to our Dementia residents.

We actively encourage our residents to maintain strong community links with local businesses to gain a sense of independence and confidence. We often invite preschools into our care home for our residents to have an increase of social interaction as well as hosting fete fundraisers partnering up with local businesses.

If you would like to find out more information regarding The Amwell Care Home and our connections with the local community then please do get in touch, and we will be more than happy to help.
