Our Nightingales Community is Now Open

At the Amwell Care Home in Melton Mowbray, we are delighted to announce that our new 'Nightingales Community' is now open.

The idea behind opening a new community within the home came about as we recognised the need to focus on those residents with a diagnosis of early-onset dementia. We have always offered Dementia Care at The Amwell Care Home and we are now excited and pleased that we can continue to do so in a dedicated area of the home.

We understand the importance of maintaining independence and skills as well as living a varied lifestyle, and this community will heavily focus on enabling our residents with dementia to do so.

Whilst supporting our residents with maintain their skills and overall wellbeing, the community will also encourage residents to continue with the simple things in life that we all take for granted, such as making a cup of tea, choosing your own cereal in the supermarket, walking the dog, maintaining friendships and supporting your chosen charity.

Our community and the wider home always strive to encompass all of the above within the lifestyle we offer our residents, and with the help of our on-site facilities, activities programme, and caring and compassionate staff, life at The Amwell is truly first-class.
