Fabulous Art Received from John Ferneley School
The residents and staff at The Amwell were delighted to recently have a visit from some of the students and teachers at John Ferneley School.
The students produced some fabulous food and drink-themed artwork including paintings and paper mache sculptures and came to present them to everyone at The Amwell. The students are very kindly gifting their work to us and we intend to showcase the wonderful art in our Riverside Community Café.
The artwork is bright and cheery, and certainly put a smile on all of our faces. The work will continue to have this positive impact every time staff, residents, and relatives enjoy some time in our café.
At The Amwell, we recognise the benefits that being creative can have on our residents which is why we hold regular arts and crafts sessions. These sessions can be incredibly calming and therapeutic as well as stimulating for the brain and body. It also offers great opportunities for residents to socialise and reminise.
We are delighted to be a part of the Melton Mowbray community and even more so to have built this relationship with the younger generation. Our staff and residents love getting involved with neighbourhood events and we look forward to meeting more members of our community at local events soon.
We again would like to ive our sincere thanks to all the students and teachers at the John Ferneley School for their fantastic addition to our home.
