CQC Success for our Care Home in Leicestershire

The team here at The Amwell Care Home in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire are delighted to share that following an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we have been awarded a rating of 'Good'.

CQC are an independent regulator that carries out comprehensive inspections of health and social care services across England. These inspections ensure that services are providing care and support that meets high standards in 5 areas; Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.

To receive an overall grade of 'Good' is a true testament to our management and team who pride themselves on providing the very best in person-centred care.

Abbey Aylott, our Interim Home Manager commented:

"I have worked at the care home for a couple of years and in that time I have always been impressed with the team who are some of the most dedicated and committed people that I have had the pleasure of working with within this sector.

It is through our collective teamwork that we strive to provide the very best in person-centred care for each of our residents and to make sure that every day they have the very best quality of life.  The team are so engaging and genuinely care dearly for the residents and I am so delighted that their efforts have been recognised on our recent inspection."

Abbey went on to further comment:

"The Amwell really is like an extended family, the home is really friendly and offers an engaging environment where there is always lots going on. Everyone goes out of their way to get to know the preferences of each of the residents to ensure that they feel supported as well as have companionship and the very best in care around-the-clock. As the world has opened up post Covid-19 it’s been great to be back fully integrated within the local community, enabling our residents to enjoy more of the things that they love and enjoy in and around Melton Mowbray."
