Christmas at The Amwell

A Frosty & Festive Christmas at The Amwell

Christmas is a wonderful time at The Amwell, as both residents and staff take the time to gather together and celebrate. For the whole month of December, our dedicated staff go above and beyond to spread Christmas cheer throughout the home, and our wonderful Activity Coordinators work their magic on hosting entertainment and putting together a very festive activities programme, including Christmas crafts and carol singing.

Frosty Mornings at The Amwell

At the end of November, we were greeted by the beautiful sight of our grounds covered with frost. Our gardens looked so scenic that you'd be happy enough to receive them on a Christmas card! Our residents loved looking out of the windows from the comfort of our lounges, wrapped up warm with a cup of tea and biscuits.

Let the Festivities Commence!

On the 1st December the festivities at The Amwell commenced, starting with putting up the decorations in the reception area. Dressing the tree and adding lights and ornaments to the home marked the first day of advent and also a month full of merriment. The lights and decorations have been adored by residents, staff and visitors alike, and have done a fantastic job of getting us all into the Christmas Spirit!

Getting into the Christmas Spirit

The residents and staff were treated to an amazing live music performance from James Lockedown. As well as singing some classics, James also performed some festive songs, accompanied by the piano. Residents thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing along, and the whole afternoon was made even more festive with some mince pies and mulled wine.
