Our Home in Leicestershire
In the town of Melton Mowbray, next to the River Eye, is where you’ll find our incredible care facility. Our care home in Leicestershire has a wide range of activities for our residents to take part in. What makes our care home so special, however, is the beautiful countryside setting surrounding it.
It’s a location that is also wonderful for foodies as the area itself is famous for its English specialties like pork pies and Stilton cheese. Individuals staying with us at the Amwell Care Home can benefit from a range of cafés, stores, a town library, the Melton Theatre, and much more, all conveniently located less than five minutes from the town centre. For individuals who prefer more of an independent-living approach to their stay in our residential care home, the town centre is easily accessible thanks to our chauffeur-driven car and great public transport links.
We are very fortunate that our home has its own beautiful landscaped gardens, however, there are also lots of other places where our residents and their visitors can venture to in order to take a stroll, have a picnic and get a breath of some fresh air. Residents have the opportunity to explore the local community and take in the scenery in Melton Country Park or Play Close Park. These areas are less than ten minutes away from our home, and both offer wonderful family outings.
For those seeking a bit more adventure, Twinlakes Family Theme Park is only 9 minutes away by car and offers entertainment for all ages, including play barns, water parks, petting zoos, and a multitude of dining options.
